Lussekatter - Lucia sweetbun celebrate St. Lucia's day 13th December

Today is the 13th of December. 2 weeks left until the Christmas day.

I think it was 5 years ago I've baked Lussekatter.  It was a long time ago. Well this   sweetbun called as Lussekatter in norwegian. It's a bit special because of the saffron.

Here' the recipe of lussekatter (10 pieces)

2.5 dl warm milk
75g butter
75g sugar
350g bread flour
25g yeast
0.5g saffron

for decoration: little bit of raisin.

ps. you will need an extra 50g flour when you're working and form the dough.

This is how you do it:

Warm the milk and the butter in a bowl. Make sure the temperature of this blanding around 38 C. 

Put the yeast on it and stir it.


Get the rest of ingredients except raisin.
Work with the dough about 10mins. I use my stand mixer to work for me. Then  let the dough rest for 1 hour.

Devide the dough in to 10 pieces and form it like S letter. Decorate with 2 raisins on each dough. Rest again about 30mins under kitchen cloth.

Bake in about 10min in 200C.
